![]() ![]() I would absolutely keep going on this dark, hilarious and frequently just-plain-lovely journey. Finally, even though this book has an incredibly satisfying ending, I have to admit I really hope this becomes a franchise. I’m neither a teenager nor a girl - and it’s been a while since I was sent against my will to a government-sponsored off-book summer camp for teenage assassins (long story) - but I felt seen by this novel and couldn’t help but feel immersed in its dark and twisted world. Every time I thought I knew where the plot was going, or what choices Signal would make, Teen Killers Club surprised me at every turn. Personally, it can be tough to get through a first-person novel where you feel one step ahead of the protagonist - if I wanted to feel trapped in the head of a dummy I’d meditate more! - but not here. About the Book Title: The Devils You Know Author: M.C. ![]() Lily Sparks really knows how to write, and her hero Signal Deere is the best combination of clever and intelligent. ![]() ![]() Teen Killers Club achieves that rare feat of delivering all the things I want from YA thrillers - imaginative concepts, rich interior lives of young people, impossible crushes - but elevates it all with smart writing, existential questions, and crackling humor. ![]()
